I was at Kripalu this weekend, something I have been wanting to do for a long time. The planning all came together, with my being in RI w/my parents for a few days earlier in the week.
It was amazing. But the funny part is that I really did not appreciate the experience until I was in the car Sunday afternoon, driving back to the airport in Providence. This calm came over me and I felt so relaxed. My breathing was so clear.
The workshop teacher was Cyndi Lee, from Om Yoga in NYC. I had never heard of her before, but many of the people in the class knew who she was and there were a few people in the class who take classes at the studio in New York. She took a great picture of the class when were finished for the weekend, totally spent but completely renewed. Well, I was anyway.
Growing your own vegetables and flowers is practical and rewarding. I grow in zone 7a, just outside Washington, D.C., in small urban garden. Welcome to gardening for regular people!

Seaming this weekend
My goal is to finish seaming the Auburn Camp Shirt this long weekend.
I finished knitting more than a month ago, before Christmas I think, but the finishing on this sweater seemed so daunting. It involves sewing seams and also more knitting, like the collar and the cuffs on the sleeves.
But I am tired of finishing sweaters at the end of their season. I want to wear this in the spring!Wish me luck!
